Perpetual Misfit(s) is back!

Wow, almost 10 years since the last post. Since then, mini misfits have grown and one of them is now joining the blogerapy here! But first, operational things. What font do we choose to represent ourselves?

Misfit Senior: I chose Arial, the versatile font. It's not pretentious, just sensible.

My least favorite thing about doing Z’s hair is that she thinks it is hers. I know, I know. Why can I not stop myself from opening my mouth and saying the first thing that comes to my mind is invariably, “Is that after you did your hair?? Here I am, thinking I will “let her be,” “let her learn from her mistakes,” and “not meddle,” and then boom. It’s like some spell took over my mouth. Sure, its because I consider oily braids and everyday hair-pulling pain normal, but I suppose that’s just PTSD. I will stop now…just after I do this little teeny thing to that knot in her hair. No. Stop!

Mifit Junior: For my font, I chose Times New Roman. See how it’s simple yet elegant? Very demure, very mindful.

My least favorite thing about doing my hair is when I’m not doing my hair. You know, when mom comes over with at least five Instagram Reels worth of hair product ideas. I love my hair, don’t get me wrong. But when I have three hair masks, two hair creams, and four different hair oils, something has to change. To be fair, though, I get it. Doing someone else’s hair is somehow way more fun than doing your own. I thought teens were supposed to be the ones spending hours on their hair and makeup! (To be honest, I do that too)
